- Jan 21, 2011
The Defense-Industrial Initiatives Group hosts a debate in Lincoln-Douglas format investigating issues surrounding the employment of armed private forces by the United States and whether the lessons learned from Iraq and Afghanistan might apply to other zones of conflict. The deabate resolution is: The benefits of the United States Government’s employment of armed contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan outweigh the costs and detriments. In the deabte taking the affirmative is Mr. Doug Brooks, President, International Stability Operations Association, and taking the negative is Dr. T.X. Hammes, Senior Research Fellow, National Defense University.
