Office Manager for the Global Health Center
The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decisionmakers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 200 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe.
CSIS is seeking an office manager to join the Global Health Center. The office manager is responsible for assisting in the successful administration of all aspects of the program. Responsibilities cross all program components, including program organization, financial oversight, outreach, and administrative support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plans and supports event logistics for high-level meetings, briefings, and conferences;
- Develops communication outreach, including event invitations and thank you notices;
- Manages complex calendar and travel arrangements for the research staff;
- Oversees the fiscal management of the program, including budget preparation, expense tracking and revenue monitoring;
- Provides organizational support by advising the Director on workflow and staffing capacity
- Interacts with program stakeholders to ensure successful outreach and information flow
- Serves as a liaison with the Center’s operational staff (Front Off., F&A, HR,)
- Manages the Center-wide contact database, ensuring that all constituents are up to date and engaged in program activities
Experience and Skills:
B.A./B.S. required. Minimum 5-7 years experience in administrative management of programs. Solid writing abilities are emphasized. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from constituency groups, media, governmental entities, and the general public. Must exercise sound judgment and have the ability to work closely and cooperatively with a range of individuals with diverse interests, backgrounds, dispositions, and executive levels.
