A strategic shift in the global oil and gas markets is in the making with the world’s center of gravity shifting to the emerging markets, specifically China and India.  Both economies are becoming global giants and because they are heavily regulated, policy directions in both have a huge impact on the global oil and gas markets.  The presence of multiple government-owned oil and gas companies, as well as the private sector in India, and with significant power in the hands of the provincial governments in China, the decision-making process remains complex, and at times, mystifying.  Dr. Fesharaki will review the short- and long-term strategies being adopted and the implications for the oil and gas business.  In addition, Iran has a close relationship with both countries in the energy field.  How do the UN and US sanctions impact such relationship?
