A second report using some of the same rhetoric came out recently from the Commission on Cybersecurity for the 44th Presidency -- a group of 33 members from industry, academia and government, which was convened last year by the Center for Strategic and International Studies to serve as a kind of self-appointed transition team on cybersecurity for the next president.

 

The group's report calls for the creation of a new cybersecurity czar position, much like the role Richard Clarke served under President George W. Bush, before he resigned and wrote a book about the government's inept approach to tracking terrorists and securing cyberspace.
