Feingold Says AIDS Bill Must Pass Soon.

Sen. Russ Feingold urged policy experts, organizers and health workers at an AIDS conference in Washington Tuesday to pressure his Senate colleagues to quickly pass legislation that would pump $50 billion into international programs to fight AIDS and other diseases.

"No one disputes the urgency and seriousness of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, but unfortunately this bill has already been delayed unnecessarily," he said in a speech at a conference held by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
