Obama Urged to Double World Health Spending.

Leading US medical specialists led by one of President-elect Barack Obama's top scientific advisers on Monday called on the new administration to double its spending on global health as a "pillar" of foreign policy. [. . .]
Mr Leavitt, in a speech last Friday to the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, a think tank, called for more coordination between donor agencies and a clearer unified ”branding” of US global health assistance.
