Strict sanctions urged to fight party graft.

In an attempt to fight corruption within political parties, strict political sanctions should be imposed on those failing to come up with transparent reports on their campaign funds, experts and activists said Wednesday.

"Any political party failing to provide transparent reports on campaign funds should be politically sanctioned, such as being withdrawn from elections," Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) coordinator Teten Masduki said. [...]

"Using NPWPs, people can track where a donor's money came from," he told the discussion sponsored by the UI, the World Bank and the U.S.-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
