Dr. Thomas Frieden, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), joined us at CSIS on October 20 to discuss an innovative new strategy for altering the course of the global HIV epidemic. Dr. Frieden unveiled data showing the effectiveness of combination prevention interventions, and discussed the implications for high-prevalence countries and the U.S.
