UK PONI

In response to the surging interest in PONI among young members of the UK nuclear community, the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), a world-renowned strategic studies research institute, is hosting and supporting an autonomous UK Project on Nuclear Issues under the directorship of David Jarvis, a former commodore in the Royal Navy and a longtime PONI senior mentor. UK PONI held it's first annual conference in London, which considered 'The last and next sixty years of nuclear ownership' at RUSI on June 29, 2011. Attendance at the conference and the dinner was open to UK PONI members free of charge. UK PONI is also holding lunchtime and breakfast debates throughout the year, details can be found on their website. UK PONI in coordination with the US PONI and a similar initiative in France, is holding an international conference, in Paris, in the autumn of 2012.
