Rick Barton, Codirector of the PCR Project, has been nominated by President Obama and Ambassador Susan Rice to be U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). ECOSOC is the primary organ for discussing international economic and social issues, and formulating policy recommendations on these issues for the United Nations and ECOSOC’s 54 member states.
