Tracking Violence in the North Caucasus
Since January 2004, CSIS has tracked, almost daily, violent incidents occurring in the North Caucasus. Through our database we seek to assess which regions are the most affected by the violence; correlations between the levels of violence in the North Caucasus and other external factors – such as the price of oil; and how the violence in the North Caucasus compares to other regional conflicts around the globe among other factors.
For results of this project, see our quarterly reports.
