Anti-Corruption Efforts in Global Development

A Commitment to Act

On January 30, 2013, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Integrity Vice Presidency (INT) of the World Bank cohosted a public conference entitled “Anti-Corruption Efforts in Global Development: A Commitment to Act.” The conference featured keynote speaker Dr. Jim Yong Kim in his first public speech on anti-corruption as president of the World Bank Group. The conference also hosted two high-level panels, representing senior officials from the World Bank and civil society, addressing both the costs of corruption and pointing ways forward in dealing with corruption in the context of global development. This report provides a synopsis of keys points made during the conference.
