Financial Power and International Security

As the new Obama Administration assumes power in Washington, it is an important moment to reflect on the evolution and use of financial information and power to affect critical international security issues over the last eight years. For me, this is also a moment of personal and professional reflection. Since 9/11, I have been both a part of and witness to the U.S. government and international community’s response to the most pressing national security issues by leveraging the tools and safeguards of the international financial system.
