    Some 28 scholars and analysts, all participating in their private capacity, met in Honolulu August 13-15, 2008, for the eighth dialogue on Sino-U.S. relations and regional security. The seminar examined how the relationship has evolved over the two years since the group last met in Shanghai. Occurring during the 2008 Olympic Games, there was great admiration among participants regarding the success of the event.
