    This year, Mexico´s economy is falling more than any other in the Western Hemisphere. This is its third grave economic crisis in the last 27 years. The fact that Mexico has had severe economic crises every 15 years or so could lead one to conclude that the country is crisis-prone. However, Mexico´s current economic crisis is different from the other two in that it was not created in Mexico. The 2009 crisis demonstrates the dangers of Mexico´s great dependence on the United States and there is undoubtedly a great desire to reduce this linkage.
