Measuring Earth Observation Contribution to the U.S. Economy

Determining the economic value of better Earth observations is a difficult proposition while being of prime significance to policy makers attempting to obtain a better understanding of this global public good.  As part of the CSIS project on "Earth Observation and Global Change", this report examines the value of better weather forecasting accuracy in a number of sectors using two different methodologies.  The approach is extremely conservative, but provides a very solid baseline for further discussion.
