Transatlantic Report: Volume No. 1 - April 2006

Read the first edition of the new CSIS Initiative for a Renewed Transatlantic Partnership Newsletter, the Transatlantic Report. This new publication from the CSIS Europe Program will come out on a quarterly basis and will highlight the transatlantic work carried out at the Center, as well as individual members of the Steering Committee of the Initiative thoughts on a specific aspect of the transatlantic relationship. This first edition has a cover article by former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Steven Pifer on the recent Ukrainian elections, and the subsequent impact on Ukraine’s growing integration into the West. It also highlights some thoughts from Initiative Steering Committee member and former U.S. Ambassador to France Felix Rohatyn on the possibility of future Chinese purchases of European or American companies.
