Anna Saito Carson

Anna Saito Carson is assistant director for corporate relations in the CSIS Office of Strategic Planning. She is responsible for managing the Center’s relationships with energy, technology, and Japanese corporate donors. She also works with various CSIS programs in their fundraising efforts. Prior to joining CSIS, Anna worked at the Japan Center for International Finance, where she researched economic and political issues in Latin America and U.S. political affairs. Her previous experience also includes finance and capital markets issues at the World Bank and Deutsche Bank. Originally from Tokyo, she has studied abroad and traveled extensively throughout the United States, Asia, and Latin America. Anna holds a B.A. from American University in international studies and Spanish/area studies and a M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in international economics and Latin American studies. She speaks English, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese
