Anna Saito Carson
Anna Saito Carson is director for corporate relations in the CSIS Office of Strategic Planning, where she oversees day-to-day relationships with corporate partners. She manages the Center’s relationships with energy companies and Japanese corporate donors and works closely with CSIS programs in the areas of energy and national security, China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and Latin America in their fundraising and outreach efforts. In addition, she works with the Project on U.S. Leadership in Development, which is focused on the role of the private sector in international development, and she is a contributing author to Seizing the Opportunity in Public-Private Partnerships: Strengthening Capacity at the State Department, USAID, and MCC (CSIS, October 2011). Prior to joining CSIS in 2007, she worked in the Washington office of the Japan Center for International Finance, where she provided political and economic risk analysis of Latin American countries and analyzed U.S. political trends. Her previous experience includes working on international finance and capital market issues at the World Bank and on fixed-income securities at Deutsche Bank in New York. She received her M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in international economics and Latin American studies and her B.A. from American University in international studies and Spanish/Latin American studies.
