Becca S. Smith
Becca Smith is a research associate for the Defense and National Security Group at CSIS. She has contributed to CSIS studies on enterprise risk management, strategic surprise and Defense Department readiness, U.S. military officer management, and the future of U.S. civil affairs forces. Before joining CSIS, she analyzed National Security Council processes from Harry S. Truman to George W. Bush for the Project on National Security Reform. Ms. Smith holds a M.A. in international affairs from the George Washington University, a French studies diploma from the Université de Tours, France, and a B.A. in English and French from Bryn Athyn College.
