Matthew Frank

Matthew Frank is a Research Associate with the CSIS Energy and National Security Program, which examines policy issues related to the linked challenges of energy security and climate change.  He has conducted research on domestic natural gas use and development; global oil markets and geopolitics; the future of commercial nuclear power, including economics, waste and proliferation issues; Arctic energy resources; and the role of energy technologies in climate mitigation.  Frank holds a B.S. in engineering science from Penn State University, where as a member of the Schreyer Honors College he completed a senior thesis characterizing the performance of nanoparticle-polymer-based photovoltaic devices.
