As the U.S. Appeals Court for the 2nd Circuit prepares its decision in the case of NML v. Argentina, concerns have been raised over the implications of the case's outcome. Will a decision against Argentina spell trouble for future debt restructurings and potentially hurt a fragile global financial system?  If Argentina, as expected, appeals its case to the Supreme Court, will the U.S. Government side in support of a foreign sovereign?  To discuss the role of holdout creditors and implications for the Argentine case, the CSIS Americas Program is pleased to welcome Elena Duggar of Moody's Investors Service and Charles Blitzer of Blitzer Consulting. Ms. Duggar will present findings from new research that examines the role of holdout creditors in sovereign debt restructurings.  Join us for this timely and informative discussion.
