Please join us for an important conversation with France's Minister of Defense, Jean-Yves Le Drian, as he discusses Europe’s most pressing regional and global challenges, the future of European defense, and NATO’s future agenda. France recently has led several defense operations, notably contributing 4,500 troops to Mali; 1,600 troops to the Central African Republic; as well as 1,200 troops to the September NATO joint military exercise, Steadfast Jazz. Minister Le Drian will examine France's role in addressing security challenges in Mali and the Central African Republic, and explain why these conflicts threaten European and transatlantic security.
