Scott Modell is currently a senior adviser to U.S. Special Operations Command on counter-threat finance issues related to Middle Eastern terrorist groups and state sponsors of terrorism. His area of expertise extends from Latin America to the Middle East, and until recently, he was a senior officer in the National Clandestine Service of the Central Intelligence Agency, where he specialized in next-generation intelligence collection strategies, cyber tradecraft, and advanced foreign language applications. Mr. Modell is currently researching next-generation law enforcement and intelligence initiatives for targeting and dismantling global financial and logistical networks that support international terrorist groups. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and a master’s degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
