CSIS hosts a number of events every day at its headquarters in Washington, DC, and at other locations throughout the world. Our events include major conferences open to the public and small private briefings. We have several formal event series, including the CSIS-Schieffer Series Dialogues, Our Global Challenges, and the Statesmen's Forum. The 11.8 million people living on both sides of the US-Mexico border share striking similarities in the health problems they face. In recent years, migration from rural to urban environments, combined with poor urban planning, has dramatically altered the lifestyle of these border populations.
