The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) hosted the seventh in a series of Military Strategy Forum (MSF) events focusing on the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR). The seventh event in the MSF QDR series was held on Thursday, June 4. Our distinguished speaker, General James Cartwright, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, provided opening remarks on the forward basing of U.S. military forces and was followed by an expert panel discussion moderated by Mr. Bob Burns (AP), featuring Ambassador Bob Loftis (ICAF), Dr. Alexander Cooley (Barnard College), and Dr. Dan Else (Congressional Research Service).
